Terms of Use
The rules of the table
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Social Sailor Entertainment LLP, which runs After All. By creating an account or booking a plan, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them; we have kept them as short and plain as we can.
The short version
- You must be 18 or older, be yourself, and take one verification selfie before your first booking.
- Your first plan is on us. After that you need a membership: ₹1,099 for 1 month, ₹2,599 for 3 months or ₹4,799 for 12 months in India.
- Memberships bought on iPhone renew automatically through Apple until you cancel. Memberships bought on the web are paid once and do not renew.
- The membership covers your seat. You pay the venue for what you eat and drink.
- Cancel up to 24 hours before a plan for free. A later cancel or a no-show uses the seat and pauses booking for 7 days.
- Be kind and respectful. A first upheld report is a warning; a second ends your membership. Serious harm ends it at once.
1. What After All is
After All plans small group outings, mostly dinners, for people who have not met before. We publish plans in Indian cities, you book a seat, and we put you in a group of strangers and choose the venue. The place is revealed on the day. After the plan you can say who you would like to see again; when two people both say yes, they join each other's Circle and can message each other.
After All is a social service, not a dating service, an employment service or an event-ticketing marketplace. We are not an agent of any venue.
2. Who can join
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
- You may not join if we have removed you from After All before, or if you are legally prohibited from using the service.
- One account per person. Accounts cannot be shared, sold or transferred.
3. Your account
- Give us true information: your real first name, birth date and gender, and a selfie of you. Keep it up to date.
- Every member takes one live verification selfie before their first booking. A person on our team reviews it. We may ask for a retake or decline it, and we may refuse a booking (including a women-only booking) if a selfie does not match the profile.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your phone and sign-in secure and tell us at once if you think someone else is using your account.
- Verification reduces risk, but it is not a background check. We do not check criminal records or identity documents (see section 12).
4. Plans, groups and venues
- Each plan shows its date, time, area, type of venue and price range. You book a seat, not a particular table or set of people.
- We decide the groups. We try to balance them using your quiz answers, age, gender, language and preferences (including women-only and alcohol-free), but we cannot promise a particular mix, size or outcome.
- Booking closes 24 hours before the start. The venue is revealed on the day, usually at 6 PM city time. Groups can change up to the reveal if someone cancels.
- If we cancel a plan, a venue falls through, or your group ends up with fewer than four people, you get a free seat credit for another plan. Seat credits and promo codes have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and may expire as stated when you receive them.
- Plans, cities and features may change. We may change a venue or time if we have to; if a change does not work for you, cancel and you will not lose your seat.
5. Membership and prices
- Your first plan is free. After that, a membership is needed to book.
- In India the membership costs ₹1,099 for 1 month, ₹2,599 for 3 months or ₹4,799 for 12 months, inclusive of applicable taxes. (GST included) The price you pay is always shown before you confirm. Prices in other countries are shown in the app.
- A membership lets you book seats on plans while it is active, subject to availability and these terms. It does not include food, drinks, tickets or activities; you pay the venue directly for what you order.
- We may change prices. A new price never affects a period you have already paid for. For iPhone subscriptions, Apple tells you before a higher price applies at renewal.
- Promo codes are subject to the conditions shown with them and may be withdrawn at any time.
6. Buying on iPhone (Apple subscriptions)
- Memberships bought in the iPhone app are auto-renewable subscriptions sold and billed by Apple to your Apple ID.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. After you cancel, your membership continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Deleting the app or your After All account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it with Apple.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves.
7. Buying on the web (Razorpay)
- Memberships bought in the web app at app.afterall.world are paid through Razorpay by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. You pay on Razorpay's secure page; we never see your payment details.
- Web memberships do not renew automatically. You pay once for one period. We remind you a few days before it ends; if you want to continue, pay again, and the new period starts when the current one ends.
- If you already have an active iPhone subscription you cannot also buy a web membership.
8. Refunds
- Membership fees are generally non-refundable once the period has started, including for unused time, missed plans or a cancel or no-show.
- We will refund a web payment in full if you were charged twice or in error, or if we could not provide the service because of a fault on our side (for example, we close your city). Write to us at [email protected] within 14 days of the payment. Every refund request is reviewed and decided by a person on our team, never automatically. Once approved, we issue the refund through our payment partner, Razorpay, to the original payment method; it usually arrives within 5 to 7 working days.
- For iPhone purchases, see section 6.
- If we remove you for breaking these terms, you are not entitled to a refund of the remaining period.
- None of this limits any refund right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
9. Cancellations and no-shows
- Cancel or swap a booking for free up to 24 hours before the plan starts. A free cancel gives back your seat credit if you used one.
- A cancel within 24 hours, or not turning up, leaves an empty chair that someone else could have had. It uses up the seat, and booking is paused for 7 days.
- Repeated late cancels or no-shows may lead to a warning or removal.
- Running late? Tell your group in the app. Leaving early is fine; leave kindly.
10. How we expect you to behave
Everyone at the table is taking a small leap of faith. Honour it. You agree to:
- treat members, venue staff and our team with respect;
- respect people's boundaries, including when someone does not want to share contact details, drink, or stay longer;
- keep to the venue's rules and drink responsibly; do not arrive intoxicated or bring illegal drugs;
- pay the venue for what you order, and settle shared bills fairly.
You must not:
- harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or touch anyone without consent, or make sexual comments or advances that are not welcome;
- discriminate against anyone because of gender, sexuality, religion, caste, race, disability, age or background;
- be violent or carry a weapon;
- photograph, record or post about other members without their permission, or share another member's personal details;
- use After All to sell, recruit, promote, preach, or ask for money, or for anything illegal;
- lie about who you are, use someone else's photo, create more than one account, or come back after being removed;
- scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, overload or try to break into the apps or our systems.
11. Reports, warnings and bans
- You can report any member from the app, during or after a plan. A person on our team reads every report within 24 hours.
- When you report someone, you will never be seated with them again, and they cannot see your photo. Your identity is not shared with the person you report.
- We decide what happened based on what we know. Usually the first upheld report is a warning and the second ends your membership.
- For serious conduct (violence, sexual harassment, threats, anything that puts someone at risk) we may suspend or remove you immediately, without a warning, and tell the police where appropriate.
- When we remove someone, their account is closed, they lose any remaining membership without refund, and their phone number and email cannot be used to join again.
- If you think we got it wrong, write to us within 30 days and a different person will look at it.
12. Your safety
- Meeting new people carries some risk. We verify phone numbers and selfies, plan in public venues, and give you tools (a trusted contact, the host line, reports), but we do not run background checks and cannot guarantee anyone's behaviour.
- Use common sense: meet in the venue, arrange your own travel, keep your drink with you, and do not share your address or financial details with people you have just met.
- In an emergency call 112 first. Then tell us through the host line in the app.
- Anything you do with other members outside a plan, including meeting later, is your own arrangement, not an After All plan.
13. Venues, food and drink
- Venues are independent businesses. The venue, not After All, is responsible for its food, drink, service, hygiene, licences and premises.
- We pass your dietary needs and allergies to the venue, but we cannot guarantee that food is free of any ingredient. If you have a serious allergy, tell the staff yourself when you order.
- You pay the venue directly, at its prices, including any service charge and taxes it applies.
- If something goes wrong with a venue, tell us. We will take it up with them and may stop using them, but any claim about the food, drink or premises is against the venue.
14. What you post
- Your profile, photo, messages, ratings and reports are yours. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and use them only to run, improve and keep After All safe.
- Only post things you have the right to post. No nudity, hate, threats, spam, or anyone else's personal information.
- We may remove content or a photo that breaks these terms. We do not routinely read messages, but we may review them when someone reports a conversation or when the law requires it.
15. Our app and brand
The After All name, logo, apps, website, games and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the apps for their intended purpose while you follow these terms. Do not copy, modify or resell them.
16. Leaving, pausing and closing
- You can pause or delete your account at any time from Profile in the app. See our Privacy Policy for what deletion removes and what we keep.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if your account puts others at risk. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why.
- We may stop offering After All in a city, or altogether. If we do, we will give reasonable notice and refund web members for whole unused months.
- Sections that by their nature should survive (payments owed, liability, disputes) continue after your account ends.
17. What we cannot promise
We work hard to make every night a good one, but After All is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that you will like your group, make friends, that a plan will always go ahead, or that the apps will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of members or venues, on or off a plan.
18. Limits on our liability
- To the extent the law allows, After All is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost opportunities, or for anything caused by other members, venues or events beyond our reasonable control.
- Our total liability to you for any claim about After All is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is higher.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
19. Your responsibility to us
If you break these terms or the law and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent the law allows.
20. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of India.
- If you have a problem, please write to us first at [email protected]; most things are sorted in a reply. Our Grievance Officer handles complaints we cannot settle quickly (see section 23).
- Subject to your rights under consumer protection law (including the right to approach a consumer commission where you live), the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as After All grows. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using After All after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
22. If you use the iPhone app
- These terms are between you and Social Sailor Entertainment LLP, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your licence to the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Write to us instead.
- If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims. We are, as set out in these terms.
- You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
